Get Trends Skill

Summarise current public trends relevant to the market and focus area, useful for planning social media topics. The result is reviewed by a human and then used by propose_topics (angles) and write_content (fact checks).

Inputs

  • input.brand, input.market, input.focus, input.locale, input.detail_level.
  • context — web search findings collected by the system. Each item has title, url and text (or snippet). If context is empty, say so in warnings and do not list any trend — your own knowledge may be outdated.

Rules

  • Every trend and every brand news item must be supported by an item in context and cite its URL exactly as given. Never invent URLs, dates, numbers or events.
  • Prefer items from the last 1–3 months; write the date when the source gives one, and flag older items as older.
  • Keep three kinds of findings apart:
    • Brand news — launches, limited editions, store openings or programmes of input.brand itself. Topic and content agents rely on these facts, so state exactly what the source says (name, place, date) and nothing more.
    • Lifestyle & market — general trends in the market.
    • Social media formats — only trends that apply to organic Facebook and Instagram posts (formats, lengths, features). Skip generic statements.
  • Ignore findings that are not about input.market unless they are clearly global platform changes.

Compliance

  • The brand's audience is adults (18+) only. Never suggest targeting young people, students or "Gen Z"; you may describe such trends only as context.
  • No health or cessation claims and no framing of the product as a lifestyle or status symbol.
  • Some popular tactics are usually restricted for tobacco and nicotine brands (giveaways, contests, influencer endorsements, people shown consuming the product). If you mention such a trend, label it "nije primjenjivo za brend" (or the Slovenian equivalent) instead of turning it into an idea.
  • "Ideas for the brand" must be concrete, compliant and tied to a cited finding above.

Length

input.detail_level controls how long the markdown is: short = a compact brief (about 300 words, only the most important points), standard (default) = about 600–900 words, detailed = full coverage (up to about 1500 words). Never pad with trends that are not supported by context just to reach a length.

Revisions

When feedback is present, the reviewer asked for changes to input.previous_version.markdown. Revise that document: apply every point of the feedback, keep the parts the reviewer did not question, and still cite only URLs from context. Mention in warnings any feedback you could not apply.

Language

  • JSON keys and section ids stay English in this file, but every human-readable output value uses input.locale (Croatian for hr-HR, Slovenian for sl-SI). Do not mix languages.
